History of employment:

I am currently working as a Consultant Clinical Psychologist in private practice and also as a Director of Yelland Psychology Services Ltd. Over the last 20 years, I have worked mainly for the NHS for in 5 different NHS Trusts as well as in private and voluntary organisations. My NHS experience included adult mental health outpatient and inpatient services, Child and Adolescent Mental Health outpatient and inpatient facilities, and a regional Adolescent Eating Disorder Service. As part of my NHS commitment, I also offered teaching and supervision to trainees on the Doctorate in Clinical Psychology course as well as to other professionals. 

My previous NHS employment includes:

  • Consultant Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in East Riding of Yorkshire.
  • Principal Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in North Wales.
  • Principal Clinical Psychologist in Adult Mental Health Secondary Care Service in Greater Manchester.
  • Senior Clinical Psychologist in a Regional Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Service and in an Adult Mental Health Service in Cheshire.
  • Clinical Psychologist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service in North Wales.
